AI Radiology Triage

The urgent scan should not wait its turn. ImageAssist moves it to the top of the worklist.

ImageAssist reads chest CTs as they arrive and flags the ones that cannot wait, the bleed or the nodule, so the radiologist sees the critical study first instead of working the queue in order. It sits beside your reading workflow as a triage assistant, keeping the radiologist in the loop on every read.

The Worklist Problem

Queue order is arrival order, not urgency order.

A worklist sorted by arrival time treats the routine ankle CT and the intracranial bleed the same way. The most critical case is wherever it landed in the queue, not at the top where it belongs.

The bleed that arrived 4th

An intracranial hemorrhage comes in behind three chest follow-ups. It sits in position four while the radiologist works through the queue in order.

The nodule 23 cases deep

A Lung-RADS 4 finding is buried in the afternoon batch. It will be read eventually, but there is no signal to the radiologist that this one matters more than the others.

The PE buried in overnight intake

Overnight scans stack up. A suspected pulmonary embolism enters the morning read queue mixed in with routine studies, at position wherever it arrived.

Three Steps

How ImageAssist Works

DICOM-native. No workflow changes. Urgent case at position one in under sixty seconds.

STEP 01

CT Arrives via DICOM

ImageAssist listens on your existing DICOM feed. No new equipment, no workflow changes for the scanner tech or the ordering team.

STEP 02

AI Scores the Finding

The AI model analyzes the incoming chest CT for hemorrhage, pulmonary embolism, nodule, and effusion, and assigns an urgency score.

STEP 03

Worklist Reorders

The urgent case moves automatically to position one of the radiologist's worklist via the RIS API. The radiologist opens the worklist and the critical case is already first.

Clinical Coverage

What It Catches

Decision-support for the findings that define urgency in chest CT. The radiologist reviews and confirms every flagged case.

Intracranial Hemorrhage

ImageAssist flags chest CTs where analysis suggests hemorrhagic findings requiring immediate radiologist review. The attending confirms and prioritizes the read accordingly.

Pulmonary Embolism

Studies with PE indicators are scored for urgency and elevated in the worklist. The radiologist reviews the full study, with the AI scoring visible as advisory context.

Pulmonary Nodules, Lung-RADS 3+

Nodule findings meeting the Lung-RADS 3 or higher threshold are surfaced earlier in the queue, reducing the risk of a significant finding waiting through a long batch read.

Large Pleural Effusion

Significant effusion signals are included in the urgency scoring layer. Large effusions that indicate decompensation or urgent intervention need are not treated as routine reads.

ImageAssist is a decision-support tool. All findings reviewed and confirmed by the attending radiologist.

Why Radiology Departments Choose ImageAssist
Position 1
Where the urgent case belongs.
Faster time-to-read on critical cases

Urgent findings reach the radiologist in under sixty seconds from DICOM arrival, not after working through the queue.

No workflow disruption, DICOM-native

Integrates with your existing PACS and RIS via standard DICOM protocols. No changes to the scanner workflow or reading room process.

Radiologist stays in control

Decision-support, not autonomous diagnosis. The AI surfaces urgency, the radiologist reads and confirms. Every finding goes through the attending.

Deploys in days, not months

Typical deployment is two to five business days. No large IT project required. Our clinical team handles onboarding end to end.

In Practice

"With ImageAssist, the bleed I needed to catch was already at position one by the time I opened the worklist. That is what triage is supposed to do."
